CVS says it has invested £1 million to relocate, upgrade and grow one of its east midlands practices.
Ruddington Vets is moving two miles from its current location in the village of Ruddington on the edge of Nottingham to a 3,080 sq ft purpose-built site at the Clifton Triangle Retail Park in neighboring Clifton.
Set all on one level, the new practice will include four consulting rooms, two operating theaters, an isolation ward, in-house lab, dental suite, x-ray facilities, separate cat and dog hospital wards and waiting areas, and walk-in kennels for larger dogs. Two new vets and a clinical director have also been recruited.
Located on a new retail development and on several bus routes, CVS said the move will enable it to increase the number of clients it serves and expand the range of clinical services for pets.
Esther Wroughton, regional director at CVS, said: “We had outgrown our existing practice on Shaw Street (in Ruddington). It was becoming difficult for us to offer the highest level of service and quality of animal care that we are accustomed to. So, this is an exciting move for us.
“Clifton is a fantastic new site with a superb range of facilities. It’ll mean that we’ll be able to look after many patients right here and it’ll enable us to grow the number of patients we see.”
CVS Group operates across companion, farm animal, equine, laboratories and crematoria, with 473 practices and referral centers in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.
It said it had invested nearly £80 million in its sites in the past five years, in addition to providing what it called industry-leading training and support.
